Touching Colours is a multiple award-winning crowd funded short film written and directed by Linda M James. Based on a true story, it is about a young artist who suddenly and unexpectedly goes blind over three agonising days. Her career and life are devastated and she falls into deep depression. However, one year later, something miraculous happens that once again changes her life forever.

Writer / Director Linda M James is a multi-published author and an award-winning screenwriter who had a 30 minute drama called ‘Crescendo’ broadcast by the BBC in 2003. In 2024/5, she won six screenwriting awards and became a finalist three times for Best Original Screenplays in International Film Festivals.

In 2026,  she won four awards for her short film ‘Touching Colours for best drama in the Hollywood Gold Film Awards, the London Movie Awards, the Milano Indie Movie Awards and the Paris Movie Awards. She has been nominated for the Reale Film Festival in Milan in November 2026, has an Honourable Mention in the Ice Movie Awards in Switzerland in December 2026  and the film has been selected by six other film festivals for awards later in 2026 and 2027.

Although Linda has directed stage plays, her short film ‘Touching Colours’ is her debut as a film director.
